"Crash", eXistenZ suffered from being released in the wake of
a wave of science fiction / virtual reality - movies like The Matrix and
failed to reach the audience it deserved. Which would have caused the
release of the accompanying eXistenZ - computer game, said to be
completely developped.
Although it would be hard to beat the likely Jean Baudrillard highscore, as eXistenZ includes although the features he would happily embrace: total simulation, plays / games / terrorists all originating from the seducer Allegra Geller. |
